You don't break down plaque by scrubbing — you break it down with the right ingredients working where the brush can't reach. Cleardent's probiotic + marine-algae formula goes to work the moment it meets saliva: the good bacteria help rebalance the mouth, while the algae and botanical extracts help loosen the sticky film that hardens into tartar. Because you spray it on the teeth, gumline, or even straight onto food, it reaches the back molars a toothbrush almost never touches. No struggle — about 10 seconds a day.
This is exactly who we designed it for. You don't have to fight your dog or pry his mouth open. Just spray it onto his food, a treat, or his water — he won't even notice it's there, and it still coats the teeth and gums as he eats. Most owners who gave up on brushing years ago find this is the first thing they can actually keep up with.
Yes — it's formulated to be swallowed during normal daily use. Cleardent is alcohol-free, sugar-free, and contains no xylitol (the sweetener that's toxic to dogs). It's made from gentle, food-grade and botanical ingredients, with a light beef flavour dogs actually like. As with any new product, if your pet has a known medical condition or is on medication, check with your vet first.
It's specifically built to be gentle enough for daily, long-term use — including older dogs. There's no alcohol, no harsh chemicals, and nothing abrasive. Many of our customers have senior dogs and reach for Cleardent precisely because they want to care for their dog's mouth at home, gently, every day. It does not replace veterinary care — if your vet has recommended a procedure, follow their advice — but it's a simple way to support oral hygiene in between.
Let's be honest and realistic: heavy, hardened tartar that's been building for years won't vanish overnight, and nothing sprayed from a bottle replaces what a vet does under examination. What Cleardent does is work daily to help soften and loosen buildup at the gumline and slow new tartar from forming — so over weeks of consistent use, many owners notice the teeth looking cleaner and the breath dramatically fresher. Consistency is everything: it's a daily habit, not a one-time fix.
Week 1–2: the first thing most people notice is fresher breath. Week 3–4: gums often look calmer and less red. Week 5–8+: with daily use, teeth tend to look visibly cleaner as softened buildup gradually wears away. Your starting point matters — a dog with light buildup improves faster than one with years of tartar. Use it every day and give it time.
A clean, focused formula: probiotics (Lactobacillus ferment) to help rebalance the mouth's bacteria; Ascophyllum nodosum (brown seaweed) studied for supporting tartar control; chlorella & chlorophyll to help neutralise bad breath; green tea (naturally antibacterial); calendula (soothing, for comfortable gums); and rosemary extract (a natural antioxidant). No alcohol, no sugar, no xylitol, no harsh chemicals.
Yes. The same formula is gentle enough for cats, and the spray-on-food method works beautifully for fussy felines. One bottle can cover the whole household — dogs and cats alike.
It depends on your pet's size — roughly: Small (up to ~10 kg): 2–4 sprays a day, about 5–6 weeks per bottle. Medium (10–20 kg): 4–6 sprays a day, about 4–5 weeks per bottle. Large (20 kg+): 6–8 sprays a day, about 1 month per bottle. Because it's used daily, most owners order the 2- or 3-bottle bundle so they never run out mid-routine.
